Adding Southwestern Sounds to the Live Show

It was great to add a new dimension of sound to my show that includes the spooky, yet lovely sounds of the pedal steel guitar. I invited a well-known guitarist from Bend, Oregon to perform with me at Crosscut Warming Hut No. 5 during my scheduled show on May 3, 2023.

His name is James Hutchins who is in a few other projects around town including Jess Ryan Band. It was a lot of fun getting to know Mr. Hutchins who shares a long-time status of being a Central Oregonian.

Pedal Steel guitar is one of my all time favorite instruments that I always wanted to include with my live sound. Its dreamy sound really sets the mood. Here are a few tracks I recorded from the set.

I told James that he’s spoiling me and it’s going to be hard to perform without his awesome guitar jams and pedal steel. The good news though is he has agreed to perform at a number of my upcoming shows. If you get a chance please come see us.
